The two ladies who take care of these pots take turns watering and fertilizing them. Gorgeous!
Each year, the summer perennials are cut down (but not removed) to allow the township to plant mums in early September. This is all done in advance of 9/11 tribute in honor of LeRoy Homer Jr., a resident of Marlton & First Officer on Flight 93.
The five milkweed plants were doing quite well and attracting lots of pollinators. The lily plants all survived (yay!) and three vinca were added for color. It’s beautiful
Vinegar spray was applied to the pathway to keep it clear of weeds, and an eco-friendly weed blocker was applied to bare areas to keep the weeds that love this garden at bay.
Customers at the post office often tell the ladies who care for these pots how beautiful they are. And they truly are!
