Daffodil walk 2023
GCM members paused for a group photo at the Barton Arboretum at Medford Leas.
Passing through one of the courtyards filled with daffodils and roses. Every courtyard had a different garden scheme.
The tour guide points out the knobs of a bald cypress tree. The knobs are from the tree’s horizontal root system and are thought to provide oxygen to the roots. At Christmastime, Medford Leas residents have some holiday fun by decorating the knobs, for example with red-and-white Santa-like elf hats.
