Bev has been a member of The Garden Club of Marlton since its inception in 1976 and is, in fact, the club’s only charter member.
In those early days, Bev was instrumental in growing the club’s membership, reaching out to countless neighbors in the Marlton Lakes neighborhood and elsewhere in the township to recruit them.
Since 1976, she has served in roles of leadership as both an Officer and a Chair. Bev was President of the club three times, holding the office alone from 1985-1987. She currently serves as Vice President, a position she has held since 2016. Bev also has been Horticulture Chair (now Environmental Issues Chair) for many years, sharing with club members her tips and tricks for creating flower pots and blooming flower beds, attracting monarch butterflies with milkweed, propagating plants, and so much more. As Horticulture Chair and Director, she organizes the twice annual plant swaps that have allowed members to expand and enhance both their indoor and outdoor plant

Happy 100th Birthday, Mary! From all your friends at The Garden Club of Marlton! We love you, remember you fondly, and miss you! May God continue to bless you with continued health, happiness, and many more years of a life well-lived!
Mary has a son and a son-in-law both named Bob. Shown above: Mary on her 100th birthday with her daughter Barbara, who lives in Florida, and her son Bob, who flew in from New Jersey to be with her for her birthday.

Barbara said her mother loved the Prosecco she bought and she picked up extra bottles of it so Mary will be able to celebrate again when other relatives visit, including her granddaughter Nicole (Augustus’ sister), who was arriving with her family on April 9. “We're spreading the celebration over the year so Mom has a stream of family visiting,”
Barbara said.
